Why Should You Pray ???

Let us read Mark 14:34

And he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch.”

The main word I want to highlight here is "WATCH".

We can see in the above situation that Jesus  Christ is deeply moved by the things that are going to happened to him, So to strengthen himself he goes to prayer unto the Lord in the place called Gethsemane.And he asks his disciples to pray and when he returns they were asleep so asks them watch at least for one hour.

Mark 14:37

And he came and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not watch one hour?

1) So the first thing is the God needs to spend time with you for at least one hour a day.

Secondly Jesus Christ says in the upcoming verse in Mark 14:38,

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Jesus Christ says you to pray everyday the you may not enter into "TEMPTATION".So we can firmly say that Jesus Christ overcame all the temptations by prayer because we could that whether is early morning or noonday or evening of the day Jesus Christ spend his time with the Lord the Father.

2) The second thing that we can learn from Jesus Christ is that pray keeps us away from temptations.

Thirdly Jesus Christ says no one knows that day or hour of the Second Coming.In Mark 13:-35-37

35 Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the         evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— 

36  lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. 

37 And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

We our real Master arrive he takes with the servant who is awake and not who asleep. That we should God with have the concern of the coming of Jesus Christ our savior will come at any hour so we should in awake in prayer always.

3) The third thing that we should have in mind is the our master may come at any hour,So lets be            awake and pray towards him.

So on concluding, Why Should we pray ?? when we pray God keeps us away from all the temptations,when we prayer master is ready to take us with when he comes,And wants us to spent time with him at least on hour a day.LET US STAY AWAKE AND PRAY.
